Membership of the association is open to parents with children currently attending St Leonard’s Primary School and to all the members of the St Leonard’s Parish. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month in the staffroom at 6:30 pm.
The PFA welcomes any parents in the school who would like to become involved in any capacity.
The current positions and list of members of the PFA for 2020 are:
President – (Mandy Hjorth)
In charge of meeting and ensures its smooth running, all present are given an opportunity to voice their comments and that the Constitution of the PFA is adhered to. This position is a 2-year appointment.
Vice-President – (Norelle Wickham)
Carries out the role of the President in his/her absence. This position is a 2-year appointment.
Treasurer – (Rashmi Soysa)
Keeps account of monies spent and received and presents a written report at PFA meetings. This role is a 2-year commitment.
Assistant Treasurer – (Verina Pang)
Assists the Treasurer in collecting and counting monies and co-signs cheques. This role is a 2-year commitment.
Secretary –
Keeps accurate record of reports, correspondence, decisions of the meeting and provides the agenda. This role is a 2-year commitment.
Assistant Secretary –
Keeps accurate record of reports, correspondence, decisions of the meeting and provides the agenda. This role is a 2-year commitment.
Education Board Representative –
Attends monthly Education Board meetings to represent the opinion and interests of the PFA. To give accurate feedback at PFA meetings of the Education Board Meetings themselves. This role is a 2-year commitment.
