199 students walking to school on a cold and misty morning is an incredible effort from our St Leonard’s community 👏
With only two cars in the Springvale car park and fewer staff cars too, it was fantastic to see so many families making the effort to walk, helping reduce emissions and start the day in an active and positive way. The morning had such a great feel, with music, fruit, photos, an aerobic session led by our House Captains and speeches from our Guardian Captains about the importance of Walk to School Day for our health and environment.

A wonderful day of learning and discovery for our Year 1/2 students at Old Gippstown Heritage Park in Moe 🏡⏳ Students explored historic homes, classrooms and artefacts from the past, gaining a deeper understanding of what life was like in the olden days. Through hands-on experiences and guided tours, students compared daily life from the past to the present, noticing how homes, schools, transport and technology have changed over time.
It was a fantastic opportunity for students to ask questions, make connections to their classroom learning and experience history in an engaging and meaningful way. What a memorable day filled with curiosity, exploration and fun! 📚✨ oldgippstown

Our Walk to School Day will now take place THIS THURSDAY, 22 May 👟☀️
We’re so excited to see our students walking, scooting or parking a few streets away and enjoying the morning together as a community 💚
There’ll be music at the gate, temporary tattoos, photo booth fun and some yummy breakfast fuel for our walkers thanks to the generous support of Woolworths 🍎🍌
