Our Artimalia Clay Creations
Over the past few weeks, students have been busy modelling with earthenware clay in preparation for our Artimalia Student Art Show.
You may notice that the clay models are changing colour as they dry. This is a normal part of the clay-making process. As the water slowly leaves the clay, the colour becomes lighter.
The models need to dry completely before they can be placed in our kiln, which takes approximately two weeks. Once they are fully dry, they will be bisque fired, making them strong and ready for the next exciting stepโglazing! Students will then use colourful glazes to bring their creations to life before the final firing.
We canโt wait to share the finished artworks with you at our Artimalia Student Art Show later this term! #artimalia #art #artshow #stleonardsprimaryschool

โจ Yesterday, we were excited to welcome The NED Show to St Leonardโs!
A huge thank you to The Ned Shows for coming and delivering such an entertaining performance filled with humour, storytelling and incredible yo-yo tricks. Our students explored the importance of resilience, never giving up and bouncing back when challenges come their way.
If your child would like to practise their new yo-yo skills at home, yo-yos are available to purchase from the Front Office. ๐ช๐

I Move Quietly and Safely Around the School
Being responsible means making safe choices wherever we are at school. Students will learn how to walk calmly, use quiet voices and be aware of others as they move through shared spaces. By following this expectation, we take responsibility for our own actions and help keep our school safe and orderly for everyone.
