The Year 5/6 students designed some amazing posters titled 'Grandi Speranze' meaning 'High Hopes' which is our school theme for 2024. The posters included some meaningful and inspirational words and phrases all written in the Italian language.
We are looking forward to National Walk Safely to School Day on Friday May 10th. Look out for more information from our Guardians of St Leonard's as the day approaches.
In Prep A the students have been learning about the importance of prayer as a method of talking to and listening to God. They created a special prayer space in the classroom and engage in prayer and meditation each morning.
The students thought of important people in their lives whom they'd like to pray for. Students then created their very own prayer beads, one bead for each person in their hearts. They hold these beads every morning during prayer, closing their eyes and thinking of that special person and how much they mean to us.
We are excited to welcome everyone back for the start of Term 2 today and are looking forward to a fantastic term ahead!
