🥬🌿 Our Year 3/4 Guardians enjoyed harvesting silverbeet, lettuce and parsley from the school garden yesterday.

Students helped collect and bag the produce to take home and share with their families, experiencing the journey from garden to table.

There is something special about enjoying food that has been grown and cared for in our own school garden. 💚#STLGuardians #gardening #stleonardsprimaryschool

😎 Shades on, smiles on! 😎
This Friday we’re celebrating Sunnies for Sight Day and asking everyone to keep an eye out for their favourite pair of sunnies! 🕶️

Whether you’re rocking a classic look or something a little more spec-tacular, join us in raising awareness for a great cause, the Fred Hollows Foundation, while having some fun. We can’t wait to see all the bright styles on display!

Don’t miss the chance to make a spectacle of yourself and help us focus on making a difference. 👓✨

🖍️✨ Our Year 1/2 students have been using The Day the Crayons Quit as their mentor text and exploring the feelings and perspectives of each colourful character!

Using the crayons’ letters as inspiration, students thought carefully about how each crayon might be feeling and explained the reasons behind those emotions. From feeling overworked and forgotten to feeling proud and appreciated, their creativity and empathy truly shone through. 💭❤️

We are so proud of the thoughtful writing and colourful illustrations they created!

📬 Stay tuned… our young authors are now taking the next step and writing persuasive letters from the perspective of classroom objects. We can’t wait to share what they come up with next!
